SHOP MANAGER – LABAR GOLF RENOVATIONS

LaBar Golf Renovations (LGR, LLC) has an immediate opening for a Shop Manager to join our team, at our maintenance shop located in Landing, NJ. Reporting directly to the Fleet/Equipment Manager, the Shop Manager’s primary responsibility will be to oversee and enforce safety protocols and operational standards, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment for all personnel.

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficient decision-making regarding equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Mastery of MS Excel, GPS tracking systems, and computer maintenance software.
  • Skill in establishing and enforcing shop schedules, and holding team members accountable.
  • Demonstrate organizational prowess and effective communication, with a track record of managing multiple direct reports.

EXPECTATIONS & ACCOUNTABILITY STRUCTURES:

  • Prioritize mechanics’ schedules for both field and shop operations.
  • Manage parts procurement for mechanics and oversee invoice processing.
  • Maintain accountability for inventory control, conducting regular cycle counts.
  • Assign and review work orders for mechanics, ensuring comprehensive tracking of parts and labor. 
  • Conduct thorough assessments of equipment readiness before and after deployment to job sites. 
  • Allocate equipment repairs based on operational priorities.
  • Develop and communicate weekly schedules for local field mechanics, coordinating with Project Managers and the Equipment Manager.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams regarding vehicle readiness and out-of-service status.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organizational standards within the shop area.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 + years as an equipment/shop manager or fleet/construction manager
  • Technologically savvy
  • Experience with logistics and/or managing mobile technicians is a plus

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • $85,000 – $90,000
  •  401k plan with employer match. Eligibility is after one year of service with entry into the plan either January or July after that date.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance offered – employee only covered at 100%.
  • Long term disability through Guardian (at no cost to the employee).
  • Company cell phone provided or reimbursement of $40/month for use of personal phone.
  • Year one, 10 Paid Time Off (PTO) days accrued throughout the year (2 per quarter).
